Before boarding a flight to HK, I've left copies of my passport, my health insurance card, my emergency credit card, and my ATM card with family with whom I'm not travelling. As well as a semi-detailed itinerary. It never hurts to be prepared.
I'm looking forward to 3 weeks in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Macau!
