Having always enjoyed Korean barbecue in NYC, we ventured into Jin Qiao not knowing quite what to expect. A traditional Korean barbecue restaurant that was only a few blocks away from the Renaissance hotel in the Jing An District of Shanghai, Jin Qiao can be found at 2077 Yan'An Xi (West) Road.
Visitors expecting authentic Korean cuisine will be well-satisfied with the wide selection of dishes offered at Jin Qiao. And what's even more noteworthy, when our party of six ordered a variety of dishes from the menu - from bulgogi, to pajeon, to bibimbop - every dish was as tasty as the next!
Also, to our delighted surprise, we were able to take our late lunch in a partitioned room along the restaurant's perimeter. The coal tabletop barbecue grills and the courteous, attentive service here also contributed to the charm of finding authentic Korean cuisine on the second floor of a mall in Shanghai. Needless to say, Jin Qiao was definitely a serendipitous find!
